First week: Boredom

Hi all,

A new update from Cambridge! Although it is not much.

My volleyball practice was super nice !! I was afraid the level was maybe a bit too high for me, but I fitted right in! One girl even asked me whether I came from the higher university team .. muwhaha. The team consists of almost 15 people, who also all showed up for training !! (are you reading this UvO?) The training was also set up quite strict with only a few minutes breaks in between the different exercises. After two hours of full-time practice I was quite tired .. Unfortunately the gym is a 25 bike ride from my house and it's not as flat as Amsterdam .. ugh .. Also, the gym is situated somewhere in the middle of nowhere of Cambridge .. on a sort of campus which is only accessible via a dark and baleful ( = 'onheilspellend', just googled it myself) road that leads through parks that scream RAPE all over .. but I made it safe and sound back ! - for now

The main problem at the moment is the major boredom hanging over me. I have been alone now for four days, mostly locked up in my own room watching series. The most interesting aspect of my day is walking to the supermarket and spending too much money on food. Today I even felt too lazy to walk to the fridge to get food .. The only cure is to go out and walk around the city with my earphones. I've added some pictures of one of my walks. Oh, I did find out how the oven, washing machine, and dryer works !! .. You see the excitement, I am a disaster haha.

So, I am open to any social contact to brighten up my day - the weather here is also not going to do that for me unfortunately. Any ideas for activities, cooking ideas, assignments for me, quests for me to complete .. I am up for it.

PS. My house it situated right next to a STD clinic which screws up my tinder/happn matches dramatically ..

PPS. Apparently I did not know how the dryer worked .. I almost set fire to my clothing now
